Having covered all of Ash's league battles and all of Ash's gym battles, the next logical step is to talk about the various teams Ash assembled across the regions while on his journey to become a Pokemon master. Depending on what you wanna count, Ash had between eight and ten different teams. I'm opting for the former, and today we're going to be ranking all the teams from worst to best. We'll be considering their overall design, symmatry, popularity of various Pokemon on the team, any standouts for better or for worse, and how they fared overall in and out of battle. Of course, as always, this list is purely the result of my personal opinion, so please respect it. 8. Ash's Unova Team: Let's call a spade a spade, Ash's Unova team was by far the worst team he ever assembled, despite it being the team where he got his first Rock and Dark types, and it being the only other team besides his Kanto/Johto team where he frequently rotated out various mons. Ash had such forgettable mons on

After a major downgrade in quality during the Unova seasons, the Pokemon anime was moving into Kalos to cover the sixth generation of Pokemon games: Games that most were initially very enthusiastic about, but over time as the luster wore off many people were left with an empty feeling. For what would be the last time Ash would have gym battles, did the Kalos gyms do him justice? Well, let's find out. As always, this journal is purely the result of my personal opinion, so please respect it. A Blustery Santalune Gym Battle!: Just like with Unova and Kanto, Ash's first gym battle comes only five episodes in. It's against the Santalune City gym leader Viola, who is a Bug type user and part time photographer. However, we first follow Serena as she tries to catch up with Ash, and then have a bit of a subplot of Ash encountering Viola's little sister Alexa, before the gym battle gets under way as a two on two match. Ash leads with Pikachu against Viola's Surskit, but Surskit turns the tables

After almost four years and nearly 200 episodes, the Pokemon anime finally bid farwell to the Diamond and Pearl seasons as new games and a new generation came out, which meant a new region for Ash to conquer. Not only was he getting a new team, a new wardrobe, and a new travel companion, but he would also be traveling without Brock for the first time since the Orange Islands. Of course, the new region meant new gyms for Ash to conquer, and the Diamond and Pearl seasons really raised the bar for what we could expect from them. So, did the Unova gyms continue the streak of quality begun with the Sinnoh gyms, or bring it all crashing back down? Well, let's find out. As always, this journal is purely the result of my personal opinion, so please respect it. Triple Leaders, Team Threats!: Ash arrives in Striation City, where he meets a self-proclaimed "Pokemon Connoisseur" named Cilan, who tells Ash he knows where the Striation gym is located. It turns out to be in a restuarant, which Cilan

Out of curiosity, how did you approach writing Big Mac, Braeburn, Fancy Pants, Thunderlane, and Soarin in Equestria Boys in trying to flesh them out? Considering the reason you aren't a fan of the stuff in EQG focusing on the other 5 Rainbooms outside Sunset and Sci-Twi is because they don't feel fleshed out, how did you try to fix that with Big Mac, Braeburn, Fancy Pants, Thunderlane, and Soarin's human counterparts in goals they want to do after graduating high school and focusing on more of their hobbies?

Ever watch Adventure Time?

No. It's probably up there on my list of cartoons to one day check out.

So, are you okay with me trying to recommend some MLP fanfictions to you?

Sure. If I'm curious I'll check them out.
